Interested in Getting Involved?
Teachers: Each summer this project hosts one or two K-12 teachers or community college faculty who carry out mentored independent research, assist with our ongoing research, and visit with other RMBL scientists and the RMBL Kid's Nature and Science camps' staff. These teachers take what they learn from working with our project back to their classrooms. Funding covering room and board, travel and a stipend is provided by the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Teachers program (RET). Contact RET mentors Dr. Nora Underwood or Dr. Brian Inouye if you are an educator interested in applying for one of these fellowships. |
Undergraduate Students:
Each summer this project hosts several undergraduate independent research student, funded through the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. REU fellows conduct mentored independent research, work with our team on ongoing research and participate in the RMBL professional development program. We also hire several undergraduate or post-graduate research technicians who work full-time on data collection and curation, but are also encouraged to develop their own research ideas. To apply for an REU fellowship, apply to the RMBL REU program or contact Dr.s B. Inouye, Irwin or Underwood. To apply for a technician position, watch this site - ads will be posted here. |
Post-docs and Graduate Students:
Researchers and prospective students interested in research conducted as part of this project are encouraged to contact the collaborators who share your research interests. Please refer to the People page for more information on them. |
